where can i get an all black german shepherd?

i want a german shepherd when im older, but i either want an short haired one, but it has to be all black i would call him ‘jerry lee’ or a long haired on i would call him demon
accept reality, im 18, i already have 3 golden retrievers, 2 rats and 1 dwarf hamster.
accept reality your a right idiot. long haired german shepherds are always entered into shows, and im not going to be showing him, he will just be a pet.

I’ve seen many breeders that breed both black GSDs and classic GSDs, I would start by looking for breeders in your area (Responsible breeders) and look in your local shelters too, I’ve seen quite a few black shepherds in my shelter, you could also try Petfinder.com.

To Accept reality:
They might not even be showing their dog, it might just be a pet, and I really don’t see how it is SO bad that they want to get a coated GSD, in fact, the coated GSDs are closer to the original old world GSDs.

If you are buying from where you SHOULD be, the pup will already have a registered name, or will at least have a “rule” as to what names are acceptable. (Often that “rule” is that it must start with a specific letter and not be rude or demeaning.)

Do NOT buy from a puppy-miller or a greedy BYBer or the pet shops that are their main market.
The only places you should get a dog from are:
(1) A breeder who is confident enough to supply a printed & signed Guarantee stating what he/she will do if any of the genetic “unthinkables” happens – AND you consider its clauses fair on both of you. Such pups won’t be cheap, because of all the campaigning & training & xraying, etc that the breeder had to do before deciding that the dam was worth breeding from and the owner of the stud had to do to prove him worth breeding from, and the cost of the air-fare & the stud-fee, etc.
(2) A rescue group or humane society – they can provide no guarantees, but their charge is rock-bottom, which makes up for that unless you are unlucky.

If you have a choice of name, a 2-syllable name is best, or one that has a central vowel suitable for stretching to act as though the word has 2 syllables. Test your choices out – go to the back door and call the name as though you are enticing the pooch to come to you, then try shouting it angrily as though you are telling your dog to NOT do whatever naughty thing it was thinking of doing. Discard every name that doesn’t “feel right” for both uses – the enticing voice is essential for such as getting a pup to come to you with the forbidden object it has found, the growling voice will be needed MANY times until the pup grows out of its “everything is a target for my needles” stage.

And if, while you’re standing there, calling, those nice young men in the white coats park their white van in your driveway then offer you a stylish canvas jacket with wrist buckles, you can tell them that it was all my idea!
