Help with Stupid wife!!!? Please.?
My wife has been in Paris (France) for two weeks on a business trip and last night she called me and told me she had bought a dog over there and was bringing it home. We basically had a fight over the phone, which I feel terrible about. But, I tried to explain to her that this dog was not going to understand English and would be a nightmare to care for. She doesn’t speak French and neither do I, so how she expected to take care of this dog, I have no idea. In addition, we already have a GERMAN shepherd (raised in the US) and so of course the animosity between the two dogs will just be more of a problem given the German invasion of France in WWII and so forth. What do I do?
When I saw the subject line, I had to take a peek. After reading your question, I’ve come to the conclusion that you are one funny dude. This is some straight up comedy relief!
It’s very uncool to call your wife stupid. I can see you being upset that she went and bought a dog without first consulting with you. After all, having a dog is a huge responsibility. Maybe she bought the dog to fill an empty void left by a husband who, judging by your question, falls short in the understanding department (smile).
By the way, dogs only speak one language, and that’s food. You’ll be fine.
Best of luck!

German Shepherd Insights
German Shepherds originated in 1899. They are known for sheep herding. German Shepherds have a great sense of smell, which makes them greazt service animals. The average life expectancy of a German is about 13 years. A unique thing about this breed is that they are given jobs quite often, because they are great service animals. You will find that German Shepherds are great at many things like guarding, tracking and family pets!
Here are reasons why German Shepherds are such a fantastic dog!
• A german man (no surprise here), founded this breed of dog.
GSD’s are the 1st breed awarded the working dog title by the AKC.
• These dogs are active indoors and outside.
• GSD’s served in WWI WWII.
• Buddy, was the 1st GSD to be used as a eye seeing dog .
• A German Shepherd has about 8 puppies.
German Shepherds are very great with helping out society. These dogs are often trained by law enforcement and special operations. German Shepherds are so useful that they are used to help guide the blind as seeing-eye dogs! They are very intelligent in the way that they obey to their owner. If you are looking for a breed that is top tier on intelligence, look no further than a german shepherd. They are very loyal dogs. So be careful when you approach one you do not know because they can be overprotective of their family if they are not familiar with you!
In The Hills Have Eyes, A German Shepherd was featured as well as I am Legend. Older movies that German Shepherds have been featured in is Rin Tin Tin, Beverly Hills Canine and Strongheart. You can also see these types of dogs in major motion pictures. These dogs are so intelligent that they are trainable to be taught to be good actors (or what ever you would call a dog actor)! If you are looking for a great protector dog, I would highly recommend a German Shepherd!
