Is masturbation a sin if I don’t think about sex?

I don’t think about sex because I know lust is a sin. I think about how much I love my German Shepherd, Stud, and how I love to cuddle him. That keeps my mind off boys (I’m a girl).
No, the dog isn’t turning me on! It’s just distracting me from thinking about boys. I’m not thinking about doing him or anything, lol. Just cuddling him and how his fur feels. And kisses. ::)

should i breed a female german shepherd, or stud a male?

im getting a german shepherd, and i want to try and breed it. not for money but because i think i would be a good breeder and i love the breed. but, should i get a girl and have one get her pregnant, or a boy and use him as a stud? or if its way hard to do then just say don’t. but what do you think? i’ve breed cats before but not a dog. and i have basically no experience with it but, you have to start somewhere right?

It is way hard.
If you truly love the breed, you want to do it right, to produce quality dogs. Part of this breed is working ability.

As a breeder you have to be able to evaluate a dog, both in temperament and conformation. This comes with experience with the breed.
Then there are the genetics, particularly of diseases.
You need to learn bloodlines.
On top of all that, you need to know how to properly breed
, whelp and raise a litter.

Yes, everyone has to start somewhere. Tha place is not breeding. You invest in a quality dog, get involved in Schutzhund or herding, whatever, find a mentor and start learning the breed. Title a few dogs THEN start looking for your foundation stock.

Is this German Shepherd puppy purebred?

His name is Rocco, he is now 4.5 months old. I saw his mother and she is AKC registered. I did not see the father but the seller said he was purebred as well. I love him the same whether he’s purebred or mixed, but I just really want to know. All of his nails are all black, and the inside of his mouth is all the same color. Is there anything specific I should look for? Also, he had hookworms and we just finished his medicine, that is why the vet said his ears haven’t gone up yet. Below I attached a few pictures of Rocco. Please give me an honest answer, don’t joke around. Thank you for the help.

Looks to be. Doesn’t look to be the best bred dog but definately purebred and definately pet quality. Not all shepherds ears stand up by the way.

If your dog is registered you can look up his father as well through the AKC.

Your breeder should have been able to provide you with his family history up through atleast his grandparents and perhaps his great grandparents.

but if you got this dog from a back yard breeder than well you probably just got a poorly bred dog (I know how that goes, I made the mistake of going through a BYB) and the breeder has no real record of his line.

Her call name is Misa, which is Japanese for beautiful sand, I can’t think of anything good that I love for her akc name. She is a Sable dog and of course since I am showing her I need to have the kennel’s name in hers, the kennel name that needs to be in there is Peakes Brook. Thanks for everyone’s help.

Why not just Peakes Brook Beautiful Sand? Her call name could still be Misa. Kind of a play on the words.

Finding a good German Shepherd breeder?

i see alot of sites saying they test dogs for health so the puppies are from good stock. but how would i know i’m not being lied too what should i look out for as far as prove that a breeder is testing the breeding stock? are there any websites that can help?
and if anyone knows a good GSD breeder near Houston Texas please let me know.

How do you know you aren’t being lied to? Simple, ask to see the test results on the parents of any puppy you are interested in buying. A good breeder will be more than happy to provide copies of the test results. If they object for any reason, walk away. Also, you should research the breed you are interested in to find out exactly what tests are recommended. Most people know that GSDs are prone to hip dysplasia and know about OFA or PennHip testing…but there are several other disorders that are common to the breed which should be tested for as well. Familiarize yourself with the tests that should be done in the breed you are interested in and educate yourself as to what exactly the results mean.

A responsible breeder *may* give a well bred GSD to a friend, but as a rule of thumb it will not happen. Puppy mills/BYB/”accidental litters” will not give away GSD puppies either.

If you are not currently in a position to pay the very reasonable & nominal adoption fee charged by GSD breed rescue/shelter, then you should reconsider you decision to *adopt* a puppy at this point in time.
